Come Walk the Way With Us. St. James, Paso Robles, Seeks New Rector
St. James Episcopal Church in Paso Robles, California, is receiving names for a full-time Rector to join them in worship, fellowship, and service.
For more than 130 years, St. James has been a steadfast spiritual presence in the heart of Paso Robles. Founded in 1892, the parish has grown alongside the community, offering a welcoming place for people of all ages and backgrounds to gather in faith. With strong lay leadership and active ministries, St. James is a vibrant congregation committed to shared ministry and service.
Worship is at the center of parish life, blending the beauty and depth of Episcopal liturgy with bilingual elements that reflect the growing diversity of Paso Robles. The congregation embraces ministries of outreach and partnership, including preparing meals for the homeless through ECHO, supporting local families through the Center for Family Strengthening, and offering meaningful opportunities for Christian formation for children and adults alike.
As the parish looks to the future, St. James seeks a spiritual leader who will walk with them in faith: a compassionate and grounded priest who preaches with clarity and authenticity, values inclusion and creativity, and shares fully in the life of the community. The people of St. James envision their new Rector as a partner in Christ — someone who leads with love, lives with hope, and delights in the fellowship of shared ministry.
Nestled in California’s Central Coast wine country, Paso Robles offers small-town charm alongside a vibrant cultural life. Known for its wineries, welcoming spirit, and outdoor recreation, it is a beautiful and dynamic place to live and serve.
We ask your prayers for St. James during this season of discernment, and for the priest God is calling to walk this next chapter with them.
