Welcome Lucy Saldana, Our New HR, Finance, and Insurance Administrator

We are pleased to announce that Lucy Saldana has joined the diocesan staff as our HR, Finance, and Insurance Administrator, effective Monday, October 6th. This position plays a vital role in our shared ministry, providing clergy, staff, and parishes with the resources they need to thrive.

With over 40 applications received, Lucy rose to the top as a clear and outstanding candidate. We are delighted to welcome her to our team, confident she will bring both expertise and a spirit of care to this important work.

We also want to take a moment to acknowledge Maria Navarrete, who previously served in this role with great dedication. Maria stepped away earlier this year due to health concerns, and we remain deeply grateful for her faithful service and continue to hold her in our prayers.

We are thankful to all of you for your patience during this transition. We look forward to the many ways Lucy will contribute to the life of the Diocese, and invite you to get to know her better through her introduction below.

Hello, my name is Lucy Saldana, and I am delighted to be joining the Episcopal Diocese of El Camino Real as HR, Finance, and Insurance Administrator. I bring extensive experience in human resources and administration, with a dedication to serving others with care and attention to detail. As a bilingual professional fluent in Spanish, I look forward to supporting our diverse diocesan community and ensuring that staff and parishes have the resources they need. Beyond my professional work, I have also volunteered for more than a decade as a team mom and cheer advisor for my daughters’ cheer and dance teams. As a proud mother of five, I value community, collaboration, and encouragement — qualities I look forward to bringing to my work with the Diocese.
